A mobility scooter user was taken to the hospital after a collision with a car in Bromborough on June 2.
Emergency services were called to Allport Road at around 11.55 am on Tuesday, June 2, following reports of a crash involving a Peugeot and a mobility scooter.
The rider of the mobility scooter suffered leg injuries and was taken to the hospital for assessment.
According to Merseyside Police, the driver of the Peugeot stopped at the scene following the collision. The motorist was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and failing to provide a specimen.
They were taken into custody, where questioning is ongoing.
The incident led to a temporary road closure while emergency services dealt with the scene and carried out initial investigations. The road has since reopened.
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
