Man taken to hospital after car leaves road in Irby

A driver was hospitalised with an ankle injury after his car skidded off the road at the junction of Thingwall Road and Elm Road on Sunday evening. Police were called at around 7:15 pm.

A man was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Irby on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Thingwall Road and Elm Road around 7:15 pm on September 15, after reports of a collision.

According to the Wirral Globe, a resident took photos showing tyre marks in the grass where the car appears to have skidded off the road.

A wooden bench was partially damaged in the incident, and a tree was seen to have a significant chunk of bark taken out of it.

Merseyside Police confirmed the male driver was taken to hospital with an ankle injury.
