A man from New Brighton has admitted to downloading hundreds of indecent images of children.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, Timothy Jones, 36, of Melbourne Street, New Brighton, appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court on September 14. He pleaded guilty to a number of offences.
Jones admitted making (downloading) 123 Category A images of children, 131 Category B images and 222 Category C images. Category A images are deemed the most severe class of child sexual abuse material.
He also admitted possessing 476 indecent images of children.
Jones committed the offences over three years, from December 13, 2022, to December 6, 2025.
Jones was remanded on conditional bail and will return for a sentencing hearing at Wirral Magistrates Court on October 21, 2026.
