Merseyside Police are putting increased efforts into encouraging residents to look at their homes through a thief's eyes and identify issues that can make them a target. The campaign shows how offenders can exploit weaknesses and shows residents how to reduce the risk of being burgled.
This theft comes shortly after a man was sentenced to three years in jail for breaking into a car on a driveway in Tranmere. However, in this case the theft was unsuccessful, as the 29-year-old involved, Ben Ollerhead, was chased away by residents who saw him on their CCTV system.
