Another bar is coming to the bustling New Brighton; at least that's their plan- to bring a seasonal beachside bar to the North Wirral Coastal Park, close to New Brighton.
Yes, The Bus Yard, which has established bars and sites across Merseyside, may open in the area. They already have sites in Liverpool One and Crosby Marina. Documents state The Bus Yard has been appointed through a council tender proccess, also reported by Birkenhead News.
This means if the venue is approved, they will be allowed to operate between 1 April and 30 August each year during the spring and summer season. They will be allowed to serve Greek food, desserts, and drinks, and be served under the makeshift bus that is part of the brand. In this case, the site would partially sit on part of Wallasey Beach, close to the golf club. Plans also state that the dismantling of the venue would take around five days after the season ends, and the area would remain vacant from September to March.
Planning documents state the business has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality environments that enhance their locations while supporting local economies. The submission adds that their work is grounded in the belief that hospitality, when carefully executed, can elevate a place – shaping how people experience it, how long they stay, and how often they return.
As the land is owned by Wirral Council, the operator would be required to adhere to certain requirements, including control of windblown sand, litter and general upkeep of the site.
Wirral Council's planning committee will discuss the application at a meeting at Wallasey Town Hall later this week, where councillors will decide whether to grant planning permission for the seasonal scheme.
