A Prenton couple have turned their home into a Halloween spectacle that has already raised £500 for children's charity Cash for Kids.

Dean Simpson and his partner's display on Grosvenor Road includes giant skeletons, animatronics, creepy characters and a glowing graveyard.

Their JustGiving page has now reached its £500 target, and is now up to 534, and they are hoping to raise more before Halloween on Saturday.

Dean told the Wirral Globe that at least 100 people a night, mostly families, have been stopping to take pictures.

He chose Cash for Kids Liverpool & North Wales because of its Mission Christmas appeal, which provides presents for children who might otherwise go without.

It is the couple's first Halloween at the house, and the display started with a single decoration.

"I always said I wanted one of the Costco Ground Breakers," Dean said. "We bought one and I thought it looks a bit empty so we added on to it."

Decorations began going up in mid-September, with the bigger animations and lights added this month.

Visitors are currently asked to stay off the driveway because of cables, but on Halloween some of the animations will be moved onto the drive so people can get closer.

Donations can be made on the couple's JustGiving page, Grosvenor Road 2026 Halloween.
