Staying safe

Merseyside Police is running extra patrols over Halloween and Bonfire Night, and will use dispersal powers where needed.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and the police advise:

  • Keep costumes away from naked flames
  • Report antisocial behaviour on 101 or via @MerPolCC, and call 999 in an emergency
  • Report unlit bonfires and piles of rubbish to the fire service

More advice is in our story on the fire service's Halloween and Bonfire Night appeal.
