Senior leaders from the public, private, education and development sectors have joined a new board focused on driving regeneration across Wirral.
The Place Partnership Board, established by Wirral Council, met for the first time on 22 September and will provide strategic guidance and oversight on regeneration projects and priorities across the borough.
The board has representatives from Homes England, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Wirral Metropolitan College, housing providers, businesses and developers.
The board will act in an advisory role, bringing partners together to share knowledge, explore new opportunities and ensure regeneration work reflects the shared priorities of Wirral’s communities, economy and places.
They will meet quarterly.
Councillor Paula Basnett, Leader of Wirral Council and Chair of the Place Partnership Board, said: "Regeneration is about much more than buildings and infrastructure. It's about creating opportunities for people, supporting thriving communities and ensuring that every part of Wirral can realise its potential.
"The Place Partnership Board brings together a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise from across a range of sectors and organisations that all have an important role to play in Wirral's future.
"By working together, we can strengthen the partnerships needed to attract investment, support growth and ensure regeneration delivers tangible change for residents, businesses and communities across the borough."
