An Oxton man has been banned from driving for over two years after he was caught driving while being three times over the legal drink-driving limit.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, David Williams, 55, of Downing Close, Oxton, appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court on Monday 28 August for sentencing after pleading guilty to drink driving.
The court heard that Williams was driving on Village Road in Prenton on 9 April when he was stopped and completed a breath test.
Williams gave a breath reading of 109 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
The 55-year-old was given a driving ban of two years and four months (28 months) and was fined £480. He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £192 victim surcharge.
