All three have been bailed with conditions while the investigation continues.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Stephenson said in a statement: "Although we have arrested three males in connection with the incident, we continue to make enquiries into what took place to ensure those involved are held to account.
He continued, "With this, I urge people in the area to check your CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage to see if it has captured any footage, no matter how small, as any information may help with the investigation."
He concluded by saying knives have no place in the Wirral for everyone involved and urged people to educate themselves and children on knife crime and its dangers.
