Three teenagers have been arrested after two boys were stabbed at Heswall bus station on Saturday evening.
According to BBC News, Merseyside Police said officers responded to reports of youths fighting at the station in Telegraph Road at around 6:35 pm.
One boy suffered a chest injury and another a finger injury. The injuries were believed to be from a bladed weapon. Both were taken to hospital for treatment. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
Two boys aged 15 and 17 have been arrested in connection with the incident. Another 15-year-old was also arrested, later confirmed by Merseyside Police.
According to further reports by the Liverpool Echo, one boy was wrestled to the ground by someone in the area as the knife fight broke out.
After the fights and arrests, a big group of teens was said to have fled the scene.
The weapon in question used for part of the stabbing was apparently described as "big" but has not been fully identified yet.
Reports from the Echo state that the bus stop was then cordoned off, and a forensic officer was present, placing evidence markers on the floor, presumably for blood spots.
Police are currently carrying out CCTV and evidence enquiries, so there is limited information on who the injured are and who those involved are.
Detective Inspector Steve Wilkinson said in a statement: "We understand the concern that such an incident will cause, especially given the ages of those involved and the busy area in which this occurred.
"The possession of bladed weapons can and does cause devastation in our communities, so despite these arrests, we will be relentlessly pursuing all of those we suspect of having an involvement.
He continued, "Additionally, people who associate with those who carry weapons are putting themselves in danger, and need to tell us what they know."
"If you were in the area and saw the incident or anyone running off, or suspect a young person you know of having been involved, please come forward with information and check any devices which may hold images or footage to assist."
