A veterinary practice in Irby has launched a new pet healthcare plan offering unlimited consultations with no exclusions for chronic conditions.

As reported by the Wirral Globe, Dee View Irby Veterinary Centre, part of CVS Vets on Thingwall Road, says its Healthy Pet Club Advanced plan is designed to remove uncertainty for pet owners worried about the cost of booking appointments. The plan also includes vaccinations, parasite protection and annual health checks.

New YouGov research commissioned by CVS Vets has found that 24 percent of pet owners have delayed booking vet appointments in the last year due to cost pressures and household budgets. Over 70 percent of owners have looked up symptoms online, while 37 percent turned to family and friends for advice.

Lizzie McLennan Green, Veterinary Director of CVS Vets, said in a statement: "We know that for many owners, there's often a moment of hesitation before booking a consultation. That's completely understandable, but it can sometimes mean pets are seen later than we would recommend.

She continued by saying CVS Pets is "empowering owners to seek advice" regardless of whether the concern for their pet is small or more serious.

The vet's existing Care Plan is inspiring the new plan, as the original one helps owners spread the cost of routine visits and healthcare.

Monthly costs are £34.99 for dogs, £29.99 for cats and £24.99 for rabbits. Unlimited consultations for pets are subject to a fair use policy and don't include specialist, out-of-hours or appointments by referral.
