A series of Sunday afternoon concerts is returning to Heswall this autumn. Three performances are scheduled at Heswall United Reformed Church, according to Birkenhead News.
The series, called The Serenades on Sundays series, will begin on 4 October at 3 pm with Songs of Italy for tenor and accordion. Nick Hardy, who is taking time off from the Royal Opera House Chorus, will be joined by Joseph Hardy, who has been performing in London's West End in Cabaret – Kit-Kat Club.
The second concert is on 1 November. This one will feature the Mizzy Duo, with Isabelle Ryder on piano and Mike Hughes on vibraphone. The duo will perform an eclectic repertoire combining classical and jazz music with their own compositions.
The series will conclude on 6 December, with Music for the Coffee House. Edward Peak will lead from the piano in a programme of turn-of-the-20th-century music, played and sung in the style of musicians from the time.
Each concert will begin at 3 pm at Heswall United Reformed Church. Parking is free, and tickets cost £8 and can be bought at the door. They ask that cash is paid rather than card. Tea and cake are included in the ticket price.
