A woman who was found dead at her home in Upton earlier this year had taken her own life, an inquest has concluded.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, Rebecca Louise Keate, 29, was identified through a photograph at her home on 23 June 2026. She was pronounced dead at the address.
A hearing at Gerard Majella Courthouse in Liverpool on Monday, 21 September, heard that Ms Keate had overdosed. Senior Coroner for Liverpool and Wirral Andre Rebello recorded the cause of death as suicide.
Tributes were paid to Ms Keate on a GoFundMe page set up by Kaitlyn Murray, Becky's good friend, to support her family. 69 people have donated to the fund so far, with £835 being raised at the time of writing.
Miss Murray said: "Becky was loved by so many people; it's only fitting that we help out and make sure she has the best send-off possible. Every little helps, and every penny matters, so even if it's 10p it's 10p less on the family."
She called Ms Keate "one of a kind, a beautiful butterfly soul" who made sure everyone was happy. She described her death as a "massive loss".
