Kitchen retailer Wren opened its Bromborough showroom in The Croft Retail Park on 28 August, and as part of its opening, and has donated £1,000 to charity.
16 new jobs have been created, as reported by Birkenhead News, at the new showroom.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place to commemorate the opening, attended by the Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Mary Jordan.
Wren presented the £1,000 donation to the Mayor's requested charities. One was the Paul Lavelle Foundation, which supports male victims and survivors of domestic abuse, and Wirral Carers Alliance, which champions the needs and voices of unpaid carers across Wirral.
The showroom is Wren's 129th store in the UK and has eight Virtual Reality suites, allowing customers to step inside their kitchen design in 3D before placing an order. Visitors can open cupboards, doors and drawers to see how layouts will look and feel.
Lauren Owens, General Showroom Manager at Wren Bromborough, said in a statement: "It was fantastic to open our doors and welcome the Mayor of Wirral and our first customers into the new showroom.
"The team has worked incredibly hard to create an inspiring showroom where customers can explore new ideas, meet our expert designers and experience their plans through Virtual Reality. We're looking forward to helping people across Bromborough bring their dream spaces to life."
The Bromborough showroom offers the design service from start to finish, and includes delivery and installation.
