A New Brighton man has admitted possessing almost 500 indecent images of children.
As reported by The Wirral Globe, Timothy Jones, 36, of Melbourne Street, appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court for a sentencing hearing on October 21 after entering guilty pleas to a number of offences at an earlier hearing.
Jones admitted making (downloading) 123 Category A images of children, 131 Category B images and 222 Category C images. Category A images are deemed the most severe class of child sexual abuse material.
As well as admitting to his category charges, he also admitted possessing 476 indecent images of children.
The offences were committed over three years, from December 2022 to December 2025.
Jones committed the offences over three years, from December 13, 2022, to December 6, 2025.
Jones was remanded on conditional bail and the case has been moved to Liverpool Crown Court where Jones will be sentenced on 18 November 2026.
