A 21-year-old beauty queen has organised a charity lunch bringing together pageant royalty to raise funds for Maggie's Wirral at Clatterbridge, as reported by The Knusford Guardian.

The event was hosted on 15 October by the current Miss Cheshire, 21-year-old Tabitha Bennett. The event was held at Victor's in Hale.

Ms. Bennett is also a fashion marketing student at the University of the Arts London and is from Knutsford, Cheshire East.

Other beauty queens attended the event to support Maggie's, which is a Bebington-based charity that supports those with cancer, as well as their families and friends. The charity has multiple cancer centres across the UK.

Former beauty queens and current titleholders attended the gathering, including Miss Africa South 1974 Evelyn Williams, Miss United Kingdom 1992 Claire Smith, and the current Miss Wales, Ellie Corcoran.

21-year-old Tabitha won Miss Cheshire this year, and has big plans, taking on Miss England next month.

A JustGiving post advertising the lunch raised over half of the £4000 goal, raising £2,326 at the time of writing.
