A unique West Kirby property featured on the TV series Grand Designs is up for sale for £1 million.
Presenter Kevin McCloud followed Stuart and Rosie Treasurer in 2016 as they turned their dormer bungalow on Grange Road into a striking piece of modern architecture featuring a floating timber box, designed by Bromilow Architects.
At the time, it divided opinion, with some local people interviewed by the show expressing their concern over the structure.
Last year he returned to meet the couple again, to see how they had got on since.
As he revisited the home, Kevin McCloud said: "Approaching it, I don't see what the fuss was about - I really don't.
"The semi-cantilevered box now sits much more comfortably among its older neighbours. This house was never intended to stick out. It just needed an age-old ingredient - time - to silver it down."
Estate agents Dee Distinct describe it as "a remarkable architectural home with spectacular views across the Dee Estuary, a celebrated Grand Designs heritage and an exceptional position within easy walking distance of West Kirby.
"Designed around light, space and the relationship between the interior and its surroundings, the house is an impressive example of contemporary residential architecture. Extensive glazing, large sliding doors and strategically positioned skylights allow natural light to move throughout the house as the day progresses, creating an ever-changing interior that is particularly captivating as the sun sets across the Dee Estuary.
They add: "From numerous points within the house, far-reaching views extend across the Dee Estuary and over the rooftops of West Kirby, providing a constantly changing backdrop throughout the seasons.
"The architectural emphasis on glazing ensures these views remain an integral part of the experience of living here."
