Bestselling children’s author Jack Meggitt-Phillips has visited school children in West Kirby to celebrate the launch of his new book.
Pupils at West Kirby Primary School and St Bridget's Church of England Primary School were treated to a spellbinding dose of book-related fun to mark his new publication Jekyll vs Hyde: The Potion of Doom, published by Farshore.
Children had the opportunity to hear about the making of the book — a wickedly funny, gothic adventure rooted in the classic tale by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Copies were available for purchase courtesy of The West Kirby Bookshop, with children also enjoying the special opportunity to have them personally signed and dedicated by Jack.

A spokesperson for Farshore, said: "Jekyll vs Hyde: The Potion of Doom tells the story of spoiled young Henrik Jekyll, who inherits his ancestor Dr Jekyll's crumbling manor, secret laboratory, and — most dangerously of all — the infamous Hyde Potion recipe.
"Henrik's curiosity quickly leads him astray, unleashing a chaotic alter ego named Eddie, whose strength and mischief soon wreak havoc on the local town.
"With darkness lurking beneath the foundations of Jekyll Manor itself, Henrik must confront the consequences of his reckless actions before it is too late."
Jack Meggitt-Phillips' debut children's series The Beast and the Bethany has been translated into over 30 languages, with a major film deal announced.
