The BTR Wirral 10K returns to New Brighton on Sunday 11 October, with organisers expecting the event to sell out as entries continue to climb. The event will start at 9:30 am and will see runners run to the turnaround point at Seacombe Ferry and back.
Liscard man jailed for 12 months for dangerous driving after police pursuit on electric motorbike
A 23-year-old from Central Park Avenue was sentenced to 12 months in prison after riding an electric dirt bike on pavements and the wrong side of the road during a police chase in Upton. The man was jailed less than 24 hours after the chase happened.
Wallasey mum and two sons change plea to guilty in animal neglect case on day of their trial
Helen Miles and her sons Joseph and Matthew Luker changed their pleas on the day their trial was due to begin at Wirral Magistrates Court on September 10. The three are accused of neglecting 190 animals of various species, with charges dating back to October 2024.
Wirral's buses to come under public control later this year
