A Wirral charity that helps children manage anxiety and build emotional resilience through practical methods is celebrating a great milestone - its first birthday- and they're having a charity event to celebrate.

Tiny Tools for Big Feelings was founded by Carly Openshaw last year. Ms Openshaw is a trauma-informed coach specialising in emotional regulation, family support and children's anxiety.

The charity is marking the milestone on 24 October with a fundraiser at New Brighton Cricket Club. The event will feature live music, a raffle, and an auction and hopes to bring families together for a good cause.

The Wirral-based charity has made a huge community impact in its first year, supporting 256 children, 110 parents and carers, and 50 women across the Wirral.

The charity continues to be busy with events, as later this month, it will host its own women's health and wellbeing conference also at New Brighton Cricket Club on 19 September. Although this event isn't focused on children, it will highlight other important topics like PMDD, burnout, identity, and career fatigue, with specialist speakers set to attend.

The upcoming October fundraiser aims to raise essential funds so that Tiny Tools For Big Feelings can continue to support more children and families before they reach their breaking point.

The charity says its work is increasingly vital, with more than 60,000 children nationally now waiting over two years for mental health care.

Tickets for the fundraiser cost £20.00.
