Teachers who are members of the NASUWT are due to strike for three days at Co-op Academy Oldershaw in Wallasey.
Parents have been told industrial action will take place on Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 November.
The school will be open during the strikes, with more school-based support for Year 11 pupils.
Co-op Academies Trust took over Oldershaw in September 2026 after an Ofsted inspection identified "serious, longstanding weaknesses" and placed the school in special measures.
The Trust said the ballot for industrial action took place before Oldershaw joined the Trust.
Since September it says it has been working to improve attendance, teaching and learning and behaviour, and has introduced a new behaviour policy after staff training.
A Trust statement said: "We recognise the concerns raised by NASUWT and believe they are reasonable matters to discuss. We have sought to engage constructively with union representatives but have so far been unable to reach an agreement to avoid industrial action. We remain ready to work together in the best interests of pupils."
It added that its ambition is to "Strive for Excellence" and ensure every young person at Oldershaw has the opportunities they deserve.
Earlier this week we reported that Cathcart Street Primary in Birkenhead was rated as needing attention in all areas by Ofsted.
Parents who need advice should contact the school for the latest arrangements for next week.
