A Christmas makers market is coming to Tam O'Shanter Urban Farm in Bidston this Saturday.

The market will run on 7 November from 11 am to 2 pm with 19 stalls, all from local businesses across the Wirral.

Organiser Ema Boddison hopes it will bring new visitors to the farm as well as supporting independent makers.

Two more markets are planned with the same organisers. The Barn in the Manor, Greasby, will host a night market on Thursday 3 December from 7pm to 10pm with 25 Wirral independents. A third market is booked at The Village Hotel in Bromborough on Saturday 5 December from 11am to 3pm, with 13 local businesses.

The organiser said she is not making money from the events after feedback that indoor venues were needed so markets were not effected by bad weather. She is sharing the stall fee and organising the days so everything runs smoothly.

A proposed golden ticket scheme at the Greasby night market could offer discounts or vouchers from nearby businesses. A little Willy Wonka, but it may be an incentive to get you in!

If you are looking for more Christmas shopping ideas, Birkenhead's Salvation Army Present Appeal is also collecting new toys.

Entry details for Tam O'Shanter are on the farm's usual visitor information. Check before you travel if the weather turns wet.
