Tranmere Rovers have confirmed the dates and kick-off times for their EFL Trophy Northern Group E fixtures ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The competition's group stage is made up of 16 regional groups of four teams, split evenly between the Northern and Southern sections. Each group includes three EFL clubs and one invited Premier League academy side, with the top two teams progressing to the knockout rounds. The competition features League One and League Two clubs alongside invited Premier League Category One academy teams, which have been part of the tournament since the 2016/17 season. The top two teams from each group progress to the knockout stages.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, Tranmere Rovers will begin their campaign at home to Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday, September 22, with kick-off at 7 pm. They then travel to Stockport County on Tuesday, November 10, before rounding off the group stage at Prenton Park against Everton Under-21s on Tuesday, November 24, with both matches also kicking off at 7pm.
Ticket details for all three fixtures will be announced closer to the matches.
