Almost 80 young business hopefuls showcased their talents at the Wirral Youth Market on 22 August, with the biggest turnout ever.
Around 10,000 people visited the market in Bromborough over the weekend, according to Birkenhead News.
Young traders from across the borough came together from different backgrounds and ages - with the youngest being eight - to sell their wares. Think artwork, handmade clothing, and baked goods.
Family activities, rides and live music were also around throughout the day.
Funding for the event came through the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority's Local Growth Fund and is part of Wirral Council's ongoing commitment to supporting young people to develop skills, confidence and entrepreneurial ambition.
The youth market has grown and changed locations from the first one in Liscard in 2023. Events have been held in New Brighton, Birkenhead, and West Kirby, and the market only seems to continue growing.
The Wirral Business Support Service was on hand to help young people with their business ideas.
Councillor Mark Skillicorn, Chair of Wirral Council's Economy, Regeneration and Housing Committee, said: "It's fantastic to see Wirral Youth Market continue to grow year after year, with record numbers of young traders and visitors taking part.
He said the market gives young people "a valuable opportunity to showcase their talents, develop new skills and gain real experience of running a business". Mr Skillicorn also praised the ambition and confidence of the vendors.
