A man has admitted stealing a guitar amplifier and chocolate from two shops in Birkenhead town centre, as reported by the Wirral Globe.
David Mulrayn, 49, appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court on Friday, October 2, where he pleaded guilty to two offences of theft.
The court heard that on May 8, Mulrayn stole an amplifier worth £140 from Cash Converters on Princes Pavement in Birkenhead.
The following month, on June 22, he stole chocolate worth £37.90 from Heron Foods on the same street.
Magistrates fined Mulrayn, of Tan Y Bryn, Holyhead, Wales, £120 and ordered him to pay compensation to both shops for the stolen items.
