A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a Section 18 assault yesterday. The incident left a woman in hospital. The incident happened in Tranmere.
At around 2 am on 10 July, police were called to a property on Fairfield Road, after reports that a woman fell down the stairs.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the woman was taken to hospital. She is in a serious but stable condition, as reported by Birkenhead News.
The man was taken to the police station. He was bailed, but detectives are continuing to investigate the disturbing incident.
