A popular Bromborough-based Italian deli will open its second location in Chester city Centre.
As reported by Chester Nub News, Dough & Doppio on New Chester Road will open its second location on Foregate Street, taking over the former Atina Kitchen brunch spot at 103 on the street.
Dough & Doppio is well known for its in-house focaccia sandwiches, pizzas, coffee and cannoli. Owners Blanka and Sebastian Evaszekren, who have lived in Bromborough for 14 years, launched the deli in the village in late 2024.
An opening date has not yet been confirmed, although the couple has indicated the new site will open "very soon".
The deli has a 4.9-star rating on Google.
Atina Kitchen, which was a family-run independent place, closed at the end of last year after more than ten years of business. Atina opened in 2012 and was popular for its Art-Deco interior and brunch dishes.
Owner Jake Potter cited the challenging hospitality market for independent businesses when announcing the closure, highlighting the "huge amounts of personal sacrifice" required to remain financially viable.
In a social media post from September 3, Dough & Doppio said: "Chester… we can’t wait to meet you. A little piece of Italy is coming your way. Dough&Doppio is officially coming to Chester."
