A Wirral man has been fined and banned from driving after he was caught drug-driving on a quad bike in Woodchurch.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, Callum McGinn, 27, of Home Farm Road, Woodchurch, appeared at Wirral Magistrates’ Court on September 4, where he pleaded guilty to drug driving and driving without insurance.
The court heard that McGinn was riding a quad bike on Church Lane, Woodchurch, on January 27, when he was found to have 50 micrograms of benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. The legal limit is 50 micrograms.
McGinn was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 in costs. He was also disqualified from driving for three years.
In Tranmere, a man from the area was handed a suspended sentence for drug driving in Birkenhead. He was handed a three-month suspended sentence for the offence, which happened in December 2025. Robert McGivney, 46, was sentenced for the offence earlier this month.
