Wirral Council has highlighted progress on housing across the borough, including the delivery of new and affordable homes and support for residents at risk of homelessness.
Figures released by the council show that 1,845 new homes were delivered across Wirral between 2022 and 2025.
This included 657 affordable homes. 850 homes were improved through energy efficiency programmes from 2025 to 2026.
Wirral Council also reported an increase in households receiving support to prevent homelessness. That number doubled from 108 to 219, according to figures from the council.
There was also some good news, as the number of households living in temporary accommodation fell from 217 to 182. The number of families staying in bed and breakfasts for longer than six weeks consecutively has also fallen to zero.
In a social media post, the council said: "These figures highlight the progress being made to support residents across Wirral".
