Residents living in The Creek area of Wallasey woke up to good news on Monday after their postcode was announced as a People's Postcode Lottery winner.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, the CH45 3NW postcode was one of 20 across the UK to scoop the daily £1,000 prize, with every ticket holder in that postcode sharing the winnings.
The People's Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery where players use their postcode as their ticket. For £12.50 a month, players are automatically entered into daily draws, with prizes including weekly Millionaire Street awards and monthly jackpots of up to £250,000.
Players who hold two tickets receive double the winning amount when their postcode is drawn.
Since launching, the lottery has raised more than £1.7 billion for thousands of good causes across Britain and internationally, supporting charities including Maggie's, Alzheimer's Society, Dogs Trust, Mind and the NSPCC, alongside thousands of smaller local community projects.
