Tranmere Rovers have taken a step into the digital space and launched an official podcast, just before the 2026/27 season starts.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, the monthly podcast will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at those who have shaped the club, not just players, but also off the pitch.
Broadcaster and commentator Steve Bower, who is one of the main voices of Match of the Day, will host the podcast. Bower is also local, as he was born in Cheshire. The podcast will feature long-form conversations with guests connected to the club.
It is expected that current and former players, staff, supporters, and members of the women's team will feature on the show. Conversations may be centered around their careers, personal experiences, and life outside of football.
As well as players, the series will also focus on personalities and stories closely connected to the club's history and community, as well as their present and future.
The first episode of The Official Tranmere Rovers Podcast will be released tomorrow, on August 12.
Fans will be able to watch a video format of the club's podcast on Tranmere's YouTube channel, and listen through Spotify. It is expected to become available on Apple Podcasts and SoundCloud later on.
The podcast launch is ambitious, as it comes days before the club begins its season at Prenton Park against Shrewsbury Town on August 15.
However, supporters only have three days left until August 13 to purchase their season tickets for the upcoming season, so if you're interested, get in quickly!
Season tickets can be bought online, over the phone or in person at the club's ticket office.
More than 3,000 members of the Super White Army have already secured their seats for the new season.
The club has already been busy, with the chairman producing a long-form update on the club's website about their upcoming sale and other club happenings.
