A Prenton rugby club has relaunched as a redeveloped community hub after a huge £1million transformation.
Prenton Rugby Club on Prenton Dell Road has had a modern upgrade, with a new function room fit for celebrations, corporate functions and wellbeing experiences. It also includes a smaller breakout space, a kitchen and an outdoor area, as reported by the Wirral Globe.
A spokesman for the club said in a statement: "The redevelopment has created a flexible venue capable of hosting everything from intimate meetings to large-scale events."
Following its reopening in January of this year, the hub has wasted no time in getting events booked in. It has already hosted birthday parties, wedding receptions and private functions. But now, it is inviting businesses, conference organisers and wellbeing practitioners to host.
With strong motorway links, the venue is easily accessible from Liverpool, Chester and across the North West. It offers facilities for team-building sessions, charity events, workshops and networking events.
One of the venue's biggest opportunities lies in the growing wellbeing sector, offering a tranquil environment with indoor and outdoor amenities.
A spokesman said: "The peaceful surroundings make it the perfect location for yoga instructors, mindfulness coaches, fitness trainers, therapists, nutritionists and holistic practitioners looking to host retreats, workshops or regular classes."
The venue is also surrounded by greenery, and of course, has its own community trail and the nearby Prenton Dell Clay Pit Nature Trail. The trail has been open all year round since volunteers from the rugby club and Wirral Wildlife worked together to install gravel paths for walkers to safely enjoy the trail. This is because the area where the paths were installed was prone to flooding, particularly in colder months and months with heavier rainfall.
The club also allows use of the outdoor facilities for summer and spring events for festivals, fun days, and community gatherings. The club has pointed out the space's capacity for food festivals, artisan markets, fitness events and cultural celebrations.
A spokesman added: "Whether you're planning a corporate conference, organising a festival, hosting a wellness retreat or celebrating a milestone with family and friends, Prenton Rugby Club is ready to provide the perfect setting."
