Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a serious crash in Moreton on Wednesday, 17 June, according to Birkenhead News.
Emergency services were called to Fender Lane around 8:15 am following a collision involving two Harley-Davidson motorcycles and a white Nissan van. A fourth vehicle, a car, was also involved but did not make contact with any of the other vehicles.
Two male motorcyclists and a woman travelling in the van were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the riders remains in hospital with serious injuries, while the woman has suffered life-changing injuries. The road has since reopened.
Detective Sergeant Simon Duffy, from Merseyside Police's Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said in a statement: "Our thoughts are with those injured during the collision this morning, and we are supporting both of those injured and their families. I would also like to thank members of the public who stopped to assist in the immediate aftermath."
Police are now keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision, particularly motorists travelling from the roundabout where Fender Lane meets Hoylake Road.
Officers think that at the time, the road was busy and are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward. Footage captured on dashcams is especially helpful.
