A man and a woman have been arrested following an incident that saw armed police surround Liscard.
Yesterday at around 3:20 pm, reports came into the police that two men on bikes donning balaclavas and carrying weapons were chasing two other males on Rake Lane, Liscard.
Armed officers went to the scene and searched the area, but did not find anyone.
After following up on enquiries, as reported by the Wirral Globe, a man was arrested. The police arrested a 46-year-old man from Liverpool on suspicion of affray, conspiracy to commit Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm, possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
Another person, a 36-year-old woman from the Wirral, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
Both remain in custody. They have not yet been named by Merseyside Police.
