Armed police descended on Liscard yesterday afternoon after masked men on bikes reportedly chased two other men while carrying weapons.
The incident happened on Rake Lane at around 3:20 pm. Merseyside Police said two men on bikes with balaclavas and weapons were witnessed chasing two men who also had weapons on them.
Armed officers attended the scene and searched the area, but nobody has been located yet. The enquiries are ongoing.
