A landmark office building at Wirral Waters has reached full occupancy for the first time since its completion.
The Hythe, a three-storey Grade A office building on Tower Road, is now fully let after approval was given to lease the last remaining office space to Aslan Labs Management Ltd, Birkenhead News reported.
It was built in 2020 by Peel using low-carbon building techniques and was designed to encourage economic growth and investment within the wider Wirral Waters regeneration programme.
Wirral Council acquired The Hythe in April 2025 as part of a wider agreement supporting long-term regeneration goals for the Wirral.
Last year, the ground-floor office was still vacant, but now every space is filled, meaning the building is generating income for the council.
Council leader Councillor Paula Basnett said in a statement: "The Hythe reaching full occupancy is a significant milestone for both Wirral Council and Wirral Waters and demonstrates growing confidence in Birkenhead as a place to invest, innovate and do business.
She continued, "This is exactly the type of progress we want to see across Wirral Waters. Every business that chooses to locate here helps bring investment, activity and opportunities to the area, supporting our wider regeneration ambitions."
