Singer Holly Humberstone has announced a Birkenhead show date as part of her 2027 UK tour, with the show set for January 22 at Future Yard.
Humberstone, 26, will begin her tour this month in Paris. The tour will be supported by Chloe Qisha and will see the artist behind hits including Falling Asleep at The Wheel, Scarlett and The Walls Are Way Too Thin perform at the Birkenhead venue. Tickets are priced at £32.50.
Humberstone is familiar with Merseyside; she attended the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) for a year before dropping out to focus on her music career, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
In 2021, she was studying and living in Liverpool, which inspired her EP The Walls Are Way Too Thin. She last performed on Merseyside at Hangar 34 in Liverpool on October 1, 2023.
Artist pre-sale tickets opened on September 2 at 10 am, with general sale tickets going live tomorrow.
Future Yard announced Humberstone as a performer as part of their new huge programme to be performed at their new 600-capacity venue in Birkenhead. The new space will open before the year ends, and will add the opportunity for more than 50 other shows per year.
Future Yard was established in 2020, bringing national and international artists to the region and providing early opportunities for emerging local talent.
Christopher Torpey, co-founder of Future Yard CIC, said: "It feels like a real step up for Future Yard to be hosting artists of this calibre at our home in Birkenhead – our expanded home, which is being built with the support of our incredible fans and backers.
He also said it's important for Birkenhead for musicians to be welcomed to the area, especially "when opportunities are scarce and times are tough."
