Heswall Football Club has submitted plans for a new spectator stand at its ground, according to The Liverpool Echo.

The application for Wirral Council seeks approval to replace the club's current standard. It is currently made from timber and scaffold, with a purpose-designed structure created from a converted shipping container.

The proposed new stand would hold 63 spectators.

A previous report shows that the club submitted plans back in April, but they are now back on the radar.

The aim is to improve safety and the structure of the stands, presumably for longevity.

As previously reported by the Wirral Globe, a statement from the club called the current structure "temporary in nature, visually poor, and not fit for long-term use." In comparison, the new structure is aimed to be "more durable, compliant and appropriate".

It is important to note that these plans do not phrase the stand construction as a new development, but rather as a restructured one. Out with the old and in with the new, essentially.

In an excerpt from the report, it states: "The proposal will help sustain and improve a community football venue, aligning with national and local objectives to promote health, wellbeing, and participation in sport."

As of June 2026, the plans haven't been approved by Wirral Council.
