Good news for Bromborough-based charities and groups - you can now apply for grants of up to £5,000 from a new fund launched by one of Europe's largest food companies.
Pilgrim's Europe has opened its Legacy Fund to support projects that will make a lasting difference in communities around its sites, including Bromborough, according to Birkenhead News.
The fund is open to registered charities, community organisations, not-for-profit groups, Community Amateur Sports Clubs, educational and training institutions, cultural and environmental organisations, and social enterprises with a clear community benefit.
Causes included in its support network will include community and voluntary projects, educational programmes, cultural programmes, environmental schemes and youth-focused work.
The Legacy Fund builds on Pilgrim Europe's wider commitment to the community. Many colleagues volunteer, raise money and support local causes as part of charity partnerships with companies such as GroceryAid and Ronald McDonald House UK.
Kirsty Wilkins, Chief People Officer at Pilgrim's Europe, said in a statement: "In the communities where our colleagues live across the country, we want our Legacy Fund to support organisations that understand the needs of their area and are working to make a genuine difference."
She added: "There are so many charities, community groups and other organisations doing great work, and we'd love to hear from them. We'd encourage anyone with a project that could make a lasting difference locally to get in touch."
