The death of a man in his 20s at an Oxton property is being treated as not suspicious, according to police.

As reported by the Wirral Globe, The North West Ambulance Service attended the property on Reedville shortly after 3:55pm on October 3, where they found the man dead inside.

The man's next of kin have been notified of his passing, and a file has been passed onto the local coroner.

The speculation of suspicion around his death comes after the army's explosive ordnance disposal team (bomb squad) was called to the property to investigate and remove substances inside the house. The team was witnessed removing items from the property, although Merseyside Police have confirmed there is no current risk to the public.

Enquiries remain ongoing regarding the substances found inside the house.
