Creative writing sessions are giving aspiring writers across Wirral the chance to develop their work, share ideas and connect with others, and they want you to join.
Writer’s Bloc: Time to Write sessions are being held at Birkenhead Central Library, offering a relaxed and supportive space for people to focus on their writing projects.
According to Culture Liverpool, the sessions, which are run by Writing On the Wall staff and volunteers, are open to all writers. They welcome anyone working on flash fiction, poetry, memoirs, novels, essays, or scripts.
Everyone is encouraged to bring along whichever project they're working on and use the time to make progress on their writing. When sessions end, writers can choose to share their work, receive feedback on it, and hopefully build confidence.
Essentially, Writer's Bloc is Writing on the Wall's creative outlet for writers coming together across the Liverpool City Region. During lockdown, the project launched online and moved into community spaces. First coming to Toxteth Library in 2024 with Liverpool screenwriter Tony Schumacher.
The initiative aims to provide an accessible space for both new and experienced writers to meet, develop their craft and find inspiration alongside other creative thinkers.

Each session runs from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm at Birkenhead Central Library, Borough Road, Birkenhead, CH41 2XB.
The sessions are part of Writer’s Bloc’s ongoing programme of events designed to encourage creativity and bring together the region’s writing community.
