Tranmere Rovers will host Blackpool at Prenton Park in a pre-season friendly next month.
The match has been confirmed for Saturday 18 July, with kick-off at 3 pm. It will be Blackpool's second warm-up fixture ahead of the season.
Darrell Clarke's Rovers will provide a test for the League One side.
Ticket details for the Prenton Park fixture are expected to be announced in due course.
It feels like a new season for Tranmere, with the recent appointment of Clarke as manager and Dean Whithead as assistant manager. The men previously worked together at Port Vale and Barnsley football clubs.
Whitehead is a strong man for the role, having been a Premier League midfielder, playing for Sunderland and Stoke City.
Meanwhile, Clarke played as a central midfielder, playing for clubs like Mansfield Town, Hartlepool United, and Salisbury City. His career spanned from 1995 to 2013. Whitehead's career spanned from 1999 until 2018.
The club is also busy preparing for its Carabo Cup preliminary match against Rochdale on August 1. The weird link-up is needed due to there being nine Premier League teams competing in Round 3.
