After a short stay in Pensby, a Birkenhead restaurant is set to shut its doors.

Charcool Turkish Grill opened in 2024 in Pensby and sadly closed on May 27.

The restaurant focuses on traditional Turkish dining, including sharing platters, hot and cold meze, and everything in between.

The site where the restaurant sits has been sold.

Team members thanked customers in a statement: "We want to sincerely thank all of our wonderful customers for your support, loyalty, and memories over the years. It has truly meant so much to us, but the time has come for a new chapter."

While the restaurant is not set to become anything else yet, we do know that work will take place and leave the establishment closed for a while.

The Pensby-located restaurant, despite being open for just two years, has a 4.7-star rating on Google and is highly appreciated in the area.

The closure may be sad, but stay with us for more updates on what the site will become.
