Emergency services were called just before 1:05 pm on Tuesday 11 August to reports of a one-vehicle collision on the Birkenhead to Liverpool carriageway, as reported by Birkenhead News.
The tunnel remains closed while the incident is dealt with. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
