Police are asking for help to find the family of a Birkenhead man who died last week.

Paul Joseph Carden was 55 and lived in Grange Place, Birkenhead.

Merseyside Police has shared the appeal on behalf of the coroner's office, which needs to trace his next of kin.

The force said: "Please share and help the Coroner's Office find the next of kin for Birkenhead man Paul Joseph Carden, who sadly passed away last week."

Police have said there are no suspicious circumstances, according to the Wirral Globe.

Anyone who knows Mr Carden's family, or who can help the coroner's office contact them, should call 0151 351 2884 or email Helen.Coleman@liverpool.gov.uk.

It is the latest in a series of similar appeals in Wirral. Last week police asked for help to trace the family of Birkenhead man Ronald Walker.
