Mersey Ferries services will stay suspended until early November, the operator has confirmed.
Ferries have not run since 10 October due to a mechanical problem with the engine of the Snowdrop, the only boat that was working on the route.
A statement on the Mersey Ferries website says: "Unfortunately, Mersey Ferries services are currently suspended."
It adds: "Current services are expected to resume in early November."
Commuters who use the morning and evening services can take a replacement bus between Hamilton Square and Seacombe.
Tickets for the Liverpool Sightseeing River Cruise are not available while the suspension continues.
The new £26m Royal Daffodil, which is replacing the retired Royal Iris, is still having work done before it enters passenger service.
A Mersey Ferries spokesperson told the Liverpool Echo the Snowdrop was likely to be out of service for several weeks, and said: "We are hopeful of being able to welcome passengers aboard [the Royal Daffodil] in early November."
We reported earlier this month when the suspension passed the week mark.
