The former Premier Inn on Greasby Road is set to reopen as the Wirral Park Hotel next week, under new family-owned ownership.
The hotel closed and changed hands on 22nd June and will be reopening on Wednesday 1st July after a short renovation.
It has been acquired by JDP Hotels, a Midlands-based, family-run group that says the site adds a fourth property to its portfolio.
In a message to guests, the new owners said they were "delighted to announce the reopening" of the hotel and that it is available to book online now.
They added that the Wirral Park Hotel will operate as an accommodation-only site, with guests able to expect "the warm, personal service and a welcoming atmosphere for both business and leisure travellers alike".
JDP Hotels' existing portfolio spans North Wales and Yorkshire: the Beaufort Park Hotel in Mold, the Hotel St Pierre at Newmillerdam near Wakefield, and the Guide Post Hotel at Low Moor, Bradford.
The group, founded and run by entrepreneur Pranay Paw, has built up its hospitality business through acquisitions over the past decade.
The sale fits a wider pattern at Premier Inn's parent company, Whitbread, which in April announced a five-year plan to cut around 3,800 jobs and save £250m, partly by selling off about £1.5bn of the properties it owns outright to fund growth - disposals such as the Greasby site among them.
It is not the only venue on Greasby Road caught up in a big operator's restructuring.
As Wirral Today reported earlier this month, the neighbouring Gravesberie Inn is among roughly 300 pubs being reviewed by Greene King, around half of which could be sold over the medium term.
The pub - which opened in 1964 as the Twelfth Man, later traded as Goodwin's, and took its current name when Greene King took over in 2019 - has been kept open for now, with the company saying its aim is to ensure its pubs are "sustainable and profitable" in future.
