A digital marketing agency grew from a freelancer to an expensive multi-purpose operation and is expanding in Birkenhead.

RedCore Digital, founded in 2023, has moved into a larger office in the town centre after increasing turnover by 38% and profits by 28% over the past 12 months. The agency now occupies two floors and around twice the space of its previous premises.

The company has been in operation for over a decade. As reported by Birkenhead News, founder Dan Wiggins started in the industry via a digital marketing apprenticeship in 2013 before working in-house for a manufacturing company.

After launching a freelance business in 2019, the venture evolved into RedCore Digital, which later appointed SEO Director Jay Price as a part-owner.

Since its launch, the agency has expanded its client portfolio to include businesses across the UK. Among its clients is Curo Skin, a Liverpool-based e-commerce start-up specialising in filtered showerheads.

The agency has also worked with several Wirral businesses, including Pleavin Power, Solutions Asset Finance and ModuleCo Healthcare.

A senior executive joined the business in April, and recruitment is underway for two additional full-time roles, including a content writer and a front-end web developer.

The agency also works with local universities and colleges to give internship opportunities for marketing students, and they wish to continue building teams through local routes.

Digital marketing in the Wirral has been in the spotlight recently; Lead Pronto was named Innovation and Tech Business of the Year at the Downtown in Business Awards. The company specialises in lead generation and has used AI to influence its marketing proccess.
