Supporters of Stick 'n' Step raised nearly £6,000 for the Wallasey-based charity through two fundraising events held on 7 June, according to Birkenhead News.

A team of walkers took on the 20km Wirral Coastal Walk. They raised more than £2,000 towards the charity's specialist services for children with cerebral palsy. Those involved got goodie bags provided generously by Bond Turner Solicitors.

On the same day, six supporters from Aalco – Liverpool completed the Jubilee 10K and Half Marathon, raising £3,929. The challenge was inspired by Mark Smith, whose son Dominic attends Stick 'n' Step sessions.

Amy, Sales Team Manager at Aalco, said in a statement: "Everybody made it over the finish line safe and well and absolutely smashed it! We are all so delighted with how much we raised, all for this amazing charity. We really hope this helps make a difference, and we will be sure to do more fundraising in the future. Who knows, maybe a full marathon is on the cards!"

Stick 'n' Step provides weekly conductive education sessions to children and young people with cerebral palsy up to age 25. Their sites are based in Wallasey and Runcorn. They unfortunately rely on charity donations for 90 percent, and require £750,000 a year to deliver their much-needed services to more than 100 families.

Netty Doyle, Regional Fundraiser for Stick 'n' Step, said: "Aalco – Liverpool's team has shown outstanding commitment and enthusiasm for the cause. We are so grateful to each of our dedicated supporters who take on challenges like these to raise funds and awareness. Their efforts truly make a difference to the children and families we support."
